how BTC locks natively on Taproot and never leaves the Bitcoin chain while still doing work elsewhere.
$BABY. Wasn't the vault mechanics that stopped me.
It was flipping to the price tab mid-read: BABY at $0.0116, down 6.5% on the week, ~$46.6M market cap, just $8.4M changing hands in 24h July 31 snapshot.
Meanwhile the vaults this token governs are holding ~56,800 BTC. Billions, sitting there, working.
That's the gap that sticks: a token meant to capture value from billions in locked Bitcoin, trading at ~1% of what it secures.
To be clear the vaults aren't failing. BTC stays native, Aave gets real collateral, borrowers get liquidity, everything works exactly as described.
It's just that "this token governs a multi-billion-dollar system" and "this token is worth $46M and still sliding" are both true, same day, same chain.
Watching a machine run clean while the gauge reading it stays broken.
Depositors get utility now. Holders are waiting on what's supposed to close that gap more borrow volume. burns, more BSNs,
Does that gap ever actually close, or is it just... the design now?
