Bitcoin's having one of its rollercoaster years — and right now it's mid-loop. 🎢
After starting 2026 above $93K, BTC tumbled hard through the first half of the year, and as of July 29 it's trading near $63,669, still working to reclaim ground lost since June. It's currently sitting below its 100-day and 200-day EMAs (around $67,600 and $73,300), keeping the medium-term trend "corrective" — trader-speak for "still finding its footing."
Here's what makes it interesting right now:
The setup is coiled, not collapsed. Bitcoin enters this stretch oversold and deleveraged, with much of the excess speculative froth already wiped out — historically the kind of condition that precedes a real move, in either direction.
All eyes are on two numbers. Analysts are watching a floor near $58,000 and a "reclaim zone" near $63,800 — the level that would signal the downtrend is actually over.
The Fed is the wildcard. Markets were pricing in roughly a 70% chance the Fed held rates at its July 28–29 meeting, a decision that's now landed and will ripple through risk assets like crypto.
Seasonality is (mildly) on Bitcoin's side. From 2013 to 2025, BTC has closed July in the green in 9 of 13 years, with an average return around 7.25% — a historically decent recovery month after rough Q2s.
The honest takeaway: Bitcoin is in a "prove it" phase — oversold enough to bounce, but still fighting ETF outflows and a cautious Fed before anyone can call a real trend reversal. Worth watching, not worth chasing blindly.
Not financial advice — just the state of play. Always DYOR before putting real money in.
