The staking litepaper has a line I skipped the first time through went back to it past the mechanics I can do already covered and it changed how I read the whole document The litepaper describes the design as a modular plug In meant to work across many different PoS consensus systems and as a primitive that restaking protocols could build on.#baby

I can do read Babylons staking design as a single Purpose thing Bitcoin secures PoS chains thats the whole scope. It is not framed that way. Thats a different claim than Bitcoin can now stake Its closer to Bitcoin staking can become a foundation other things get built on.

$BABY Though I might be over Reading one sentence fair But the longer I sat with it the more the modularity reads like it was the design goal from day one not something bolted on later positioning the staking layer as infrastructure for a category of products rather than a single product itself.@BabylonLabs_io

And theres already one concrete product taking shape on that foundation on testnet today Trustless Bitcoin Vaults (TBV) generalize the same staking vault primitive into native BTC collateral for DeFi What I still have not Found is the other thing the litepapers framing points toward an actual Restaking protocol built on top of Babylons primitive. Maybe it exists and I just have not seen it. Maybe the category is still waiting on its first builder.
