Honestly, I’m getting tired of crypto announcing a “next big chain” every other week.
New chain. New narrative. New token. Same promise that this one will somehow fix everything.
That’s why Babylon (BABY) is at least interesting to me from a different angle. The idea of using Bitcoin’s security through self-custodial BTC staking to support PoS ecosystems makes more sense than another chain screaming about speed and TPS.
And yeah, traffic matters. A blockchain can look perfect when nobody is using it. Then real activity arrives and suddenly the cracks show. Solana usually feels smooth in normal conditions, but heavy demand can still expose limits. That’s not necessarily bad tech. It’s just what happens when too much activity hits one place.
Maybe the future is less about one chain winning everything and more about spreading the load.
Still, I’m not convinced liquidity and users will move easily. Crypto is already overcrowded.
BABY has an interesting idea. Now it needs actual adoption.
It might work. Or nobody shows up.
