A few months ago, if someone had asked me what Bitcoin was good for, my answer would've been simple: buy it, hold it, and wait. Today, I'm not so sure anymore.
After following @BabylonLabs_io I started looking at Bitcoin from a different angle. Instead of asking BTC holders to trust bridges or custodians, Babylon is exploring how self-custodial Bitcoin staking can help secure Proof-of-Stake networks while users remain in control of their coins.
The concept that kept pulling me back was Trustless Bitcoin Vaults (TBV). The more I read, the more I appreciated that the goal isn't to remove every challenge it's to remove unnecessary trust. That feels much closer to why many of us believed in Bitcoin in the first place.
Another thing I find interesting is how $BABY supports different parts of the ecosystem instead of serving just one purpose. Between governance, network operations, and security, it feels like the project is building infrastructure rather than chasing short-term narratives.
The biggest surprise for me wasn't even the technology it was the community. Listening to discussions made me realize there are still places in crypto where people exchange ideas instead of just price predictions.
For now, I'm more interested in watching how Babylon develops than trying to predict tomorrow's candle.
