Because I couldn't believe I'd overlooked it.
For the longest time, I assumed Bitcoin's biggest limitation was obvious.
It can't run complex smart contracts.

But the more I explored Babylon, the more I realized I was asking the wrong question.
Maybe Bitcoin doesn't need to do everything.
Maybe it only needs to do one thing exceptionally well.
Trust.

Instead of forcing Bitcoin to become something it was never designed to be, Babylon explores whether Bitcoin's security can strengthen other networks while BTC itself remains under the owner's control.
