One weak TBV integration should not be able to damage confidence in every other one.

That is the containment test I’m applying to Trustless Bitcoin Vaults from BabylonLabs_io.

TBV separates the native Bitcoin vault from the aplication, adapter, pricing, and lending rules built above it. Modularity sounds safer—but only when a failure stays inside the layer that caused it.

If one application uses poor risk parameters, a faulty oracle, or an unsafe liquidation process, the consequences should not silently spread beyond that market.

For me, the key question is:

Does each TBV integration have a clearly limited blast radius?

A secure Bitcoin vault should preserve its predefined spending conditions even when the application above it behaves badly. And one failed lending market should not make every TBV position look equally unsafe.

That is the disclosure I would watch as more integrations appear:

which risks are shared, which are application-specific and exctly where contagion stops.

Modularity creates value when components can connect.

It creates security when they can also fail separately.
