Can you actually spot the moment a trend dies, or do you just notice it after your position's underwater?

Market structure is the story price tells through its swings. An uptrend prints higher highs and higher lows — each pullback finds support above the last one, proving buyers are still in control. A break of structure happens when price fails to make that higher low, or slices below the previous one instead. That's not noise, it's information: the buyers who defended the last level are gone, and control may be shifting.

Practise this: on any chart, mark the last three swing highs and lows before checking any indicator. Structure first, everything else second.

Where do you usually catch a shift in structure — early, or after the damage is done?
