One idea keeps resurfacing every time I dig into Bitcoin infrastructure: perhaps Bitcoin's greatest contribution isn't liquidity or returns. It is credibility. The real challenge is extending that credibility across new networks without weakening the principles that made Bitcoin trusted in the first place.

I think of it like the roots of an ancient tree. You rarely see them, yet every branch depends on them. The tree grows outward only because its foundation remains firmly anchored. Strength comes from what refuses to move, not from what constantly expands.

That's the lens through which I view Babylon. Rather than asking users to wrap Bitcoin or hand assets to custodians, Babylon enables self-custodial BTC staking directly on Bitcoin while allowing its security to reinforce Proof-of-Stake ecosystems. The introduction of Trustless Bitcoin Vaults and Aave v4 integration adds another layer to this thesis by making native BTC useful as collateral without abandoning Bitcoin's trust model. Recent capital inflows suggest the market is beginning to notice, but architecture deserves more attention than momentum. Bitcoin congestion could affect slashing responsiveness, while future token unlocks remain a meaningful long-term supply consideration.

Markets usually reward visible narratives first. What they often miss is that lasting value is created when trust itself becomes reusable infrastructure. If Bitcoin evolves into the security foundation for multiple ecosystems without sacrificing self-custody, that may prove to be a far bigger shift than today's price action suggests.
