There was a time when I thought crypto followed its own rules. A major partnership, a new blockchain upgrade, or an exchange listing seemed enough to explain every market move. As the market matured, that view changed.

Today, macroeconomic events have become impossible to ignore. The latest Federal Reserve meeting is a perfect example. Even though many investors expected rates to remain unchanged, the market still reacted because everyone wanted clues about what comes next.

The Fed's outlook affects liquidity, and liquidity plays a huge role in investor behavior. If markets believe financial conditions could become more supportive in the future, confidence often returns to assets like Bitcoin. If inflation remains a concern and policymakers maintain a cautious stance, traders may become more defensive for a while.

That doesn't mean crypto has lost its independence. Blockchain innovation, institutional adoption, ETF activity, and real-world use cases continue to shape the long-term direction of the industry. The Fed simply adds another layer to the equation.

For me, every policy meeting is a reminder that successful investing isn't about following a single headline. It's about connecting different pieces of the puzzle. Understanding both macro trends and crypto fundamentals creates a clearer picture than focusing on either one alone. Markets will always react to news, but informed investors look beyond the first price candle.
