Answer: CryptoPunks launched in June 2017, several months before CryptoKitties. The Punks are often considered the first NFT collection on Ethereum.

Answer: Tether launched as Realcoin in 2014 and rebranded to USDT later that year. It was the first fiat-collateralized stablecoin.

Bonus fact: The first cryptocurrency transaction for a physical good was in 2010 when Laszlo Hanyecz paid 10,000 BTC for two pizzas. That amount would be worth hundreds of millions today.
