I've been watching the market every day, and lately something just feels different.
I kept ignoring it for a while, but recently something changed. I'm seeing more liquidity rotate into infrastructure projects instead of everyone only chasing meme coins or whatever is pumping that day.
That's actually how @BabylonLabs_io ended up on my radar. I kept wondering why people suddenly started talking about it, and it started making more sense the deeper I looked into it.
What caught my attention wasn't just another #bitcoin token, but the idea that people can use their own Bitcoin to help secure other blockchains without handing their BTC over to someone else. That feels like a pretty big shift compared to how Bitcoin has always been seen as something you mostly just buy and hold.
There's definitely hype around it, but I think there's more happening underneath. @BabylonLabs_io Genesis and the $BABY token make it feel like they're trying to build an ecosystem around that idea instead of just creating another narrative for a few weeks. I still don't think most people fully understand where this could go. At the same time, I'm not pretending it's guaranteed.
Adoption takes time, security assumptions still need to prove themselves, and there are plenty of other Bitcoin infrastructure projects chasing the same opportunity. Retail usually notices price before the actual idea. I'm starting to wonder if this is just another cycle narrative, or if people will eventually look back and see $BABY as an important step in Bitcoin's next chapter.
