A while back, I used to think exchange listings and deep liquidity were the biggest signals of value. If a token landed on a major exchange and volume exploded, I assumed the market had already made its decision.

I'm not as convinced anymore.

After watching enough cycles, I've noticed that hype can create activity without creating real usage. Sometimes the wallets are active, but are people actually building? Are users returning because the product solves something, or are we just seeing recycled transactions chasing incentives?

Lately I've been paying more attention to projects building reusable financial logic. The idea feels closer to open-source software than traditional crypto speculation. Instead of every team rebuilding permission systems, compliance checks, or financial rules from scratch, developers can reuse proven modules and spend their time creating better applications.

That changes the retention dynamic for me.

Users don't usually come back because of launch-day excitement. They return when the same infrastructure quietly powers useful products again and again. If developers continue choosing those modules, the ecosystem gains momentum even after the headlines disappear.

There's another layer that matters too. Developers should have a reason to keep improving reusable components, and operators need honest verification incentives. If verification becomes weak or rewards encourage shortcuts, trust disappears quickly, no matter how attractive $BABY looks on paper.

I'm also careful around fake demand. Token unlock pressure can distort market behavior, and high activity doesn't always mean genuine adoption. It's worth asking whether growth comes from real users or simply capital moving in circles.

That's why $BABY is on my watchlist rather than in my "already proven" category. The idea is genuinely interesting, but the next phase will depend on whether builders keep shipping, users keep returning after incentives fade, and verification remains credible.
