As much as I enjoy trading range deviation, I have a very clear playbook regarding the triggers.
The playbook is very clear: as long as price holds above the breakout level, consider it a breakout and expect some expansion.
My line in the sand here is the 64.5K level.
As long as we hold above it, I am considering this a breakout and will treat it accordingly. Only after a full breakdown back below will I be ready to hunt for a range deviation setup.
All my system is based on auction theory and market phases, and the rule is simple: a range can either be deviated or broken; if we deviate, we keep ranging; if we break, we expand.
So far, we broke it.
