Bitcoin is on track for its fifth consecutive weekly decline, matching a streak not seen since March-May 2022 when it dropped for nine straight weeks during the extended bear market. As of Thursday, $BTC is down roughly 3% on the week, trading below $67,000 and vulnerable to another red close.

The damage extends beyond weekly charts. Bitcoin has recorded five straight monthly declines since October—the second-longest losing streak on record, surpassed only by the six-month slide from 2018 to 2019. Against gold, it's down seven consecutive months, the longest underperformance in that pairing. From October's all-time high near $126,500, Bitcoin has fallen over 50%, briefly touching $60,000 earlier this month.

Macro pressure is mounting. Geopolitical tensions in the Middle East lifted the dollar index to 97.7, its highest since early February, tightening financial conditions and pressuring risk assets globally.
