Warum ist das notwendig?
Das Zeitalter der Quantencomputing ist kein Science-Fiction, sondern ein reales Risiko für die Blockchain. Der derzeit weit verbreitete ECDSA (Elliptic Curve Digital Signature Algorithm) könnte vor leistungsstarken Quantencomputern schwach werden.
Kernpunkte des Superchain-Fahrplans:
🔹 ECDSA abschaffen: Geplant ist ein vollständiger Austausch der bestehenden kryptografischen Signaturmethoden bis 2036.
🔹 Die unvermeidliche Wahl für Ethereum: Das Team ist der Meinung, dass post-quantum Konsens für das Ethereum-Ökosystem „keine Option, sondern eine Notwendigkeit zum Überleben“ ist.
🔹 Vorsorge treffen: Es wird ein 10-jähriger Übergangszeitraum festgelegt, um einen reibungslosen technologischen Wandel unter der Voraussetzung der Sicherheit der Benutzervermögen zu gewährleisten.
Während andere Projekte noch mit aktuellen Problemen beschäftigt sind, hat Optimism bereits an der digitalen „Schutzmauer“ für die Netzwerksicherheit der nächsten Jahrzehnte gebaut.
