Leverage came back, and the perp market quickly tilted toward the Long side. The numbers look bullish: → Funding rate: 20-month high → BTC: ~$64K → Perp CVD: +$471M → Long-term MA: ~$71.5K But here’s where it gets interesting. Open Interest is falling. And spot CVD is basically flat. That’s the contradiction most people are missing. If fresh capital were aggressively entering BTC, you’d want to see spot demand and OI confirming the move. Instead, this could be more about position rotation, shorts closing, and existing Longs becoming increasingly crowded. That makes high funding a double-edged signal.
