The burning of 800 million USTC to help repeg USTC and revive #cryptocurrency $LUNC has been a topic of discussion and debate in the Terra Luna Classic community. Despite the community voting to annul a proposal to blacklist an Ozone Protocol wallet containing 800 million USTC, some developers and validators voiced concerns about the proposed code change that could have a significant negative impact on the blockchain.
In order to protect the integrity of the #crypto LUNC blockchain, validator JESUSisLORD has proposed Proposal #11849, which is titled "Reverse and Nullify Blacklisting Proposal #11832." The proposal also aims to completely eliminate the risk of future use of blacklisting code by instructing the L1TF to remove all of it from the LUNC codebase (Github).
A seasoned L1 developer named Inon Man, who Edward Kim recommended, issued a warning that the proposal would "also alter the state and it also adds permanent threat to the blockchain." He added that Terra Luna Classic might sustain permanent harm as a result of the code changes.
The proposal states that blacklisting one wallet runs the risk of blacklisting others. Chain, validators, and developers may be subject to legal risk as a result of this. For this reason, the community will benefit if the proposal is approved.
