Aave governance proposal to suspend the deployment of three L2 networks

On January 29, the Aave governance delegated platform Aave Chanlnitiative (ACI) proposed a governance proposal to suspend the deployment on the three Layer 2 networks: zkSyncEra, Metis, and Soneium, on the grounds that these networks contribute less user activity, TVL, and revenue. The proposal points out that, despite these networks having a TVL of approximately $26 million, $17 million, and $9 million respectively, a significant amount of effort is still required. ACI also proposed that any future new chain deployments must ensure at least $2 million in annual revenue for Aave. Snapshot voting was initiated on the same day.
