Most privacy chains focus on anonymity. @Dusk focuses on selective disclosure. This is an important distinction. In real finance, regulators don’t disappear—they observe. #dusk allows transactions to remain private by default, while still enabling authorized parties to verify data when required. That means compliance does not break privacy, and privacy does not break regulation. This idea sounds simple, but architecturally it is very hard to execute. Dusk’s design assumes regulation will increase, not disappear. Instead of fighting that reality, the protocol is built to work inside it.
