Aave Labs has announced a groundbreaking plan to distribute revenue generated outside the core protocol directly to token holders, aiming to align the interests of the application layer with the DAO.
🔶 n response to community discussions, the team plans to introduce a specific mechanism to share non protocol revenue with AAVE token holders.
🔷 Aave Labs emphasized that third party applications charging their own fees do not weaken the protocol. Instead, they expand usage and drive overall revenue growth, creating a Win Win ecosystem.
🔶 The upcoming proposal will also clarify the structure for brand and intellectual property (IP) usage. It aims to establish sufficient guardrails to protect the Aave DAO is interests while fostering innovation.
