Base (Coinbase's Layer-2) and Solana have just been connected through Chainlink's CCIP technology. This bridge allows the two networks to easily transfer assets back and forth, opening up significant liquidity and a smoother multi-chain experience.

The bridge is now operational on the mainnet, and many apps like Zora, Aerodrome, Virtuals… have started integrating.

This is a major advancement because Solana is not EVM-compatible, making it difficult for the two ecosystems to interact in the past. Thanks to Chainlink CCIP, these previously completely separate ecosystems can now interact with each other.$SOL
