Just today, the US stock market had a major pullback before the bell, making it a good time to scout for picks. I recommend a great site for newbies in US stocks: Simply Wall St.

What's interesting about this site is that it visualizes a company's financial data really well.

Valuation, growth, financial health, dividends, shareholder structure, management, and analyst expectations are all presented through charts and cards. For beginners, it's way friendlier than diving straight into earnings reports, 10-Ks, or Excel valuation models.

For instance, if you want to check out a company: How pricey is it? How's the growth? Any dividends? Is the balance sheet solid? What are the future income and profit expectations? How much do analysts think it's worth? It gives us a clear first impression.

But keep in mind, this site isn't for following buy/sell signals. It’s more like a “stock health check tool” rather than a “trading signal tool.” It can help you quickly understand a company but can't replace your judgment on the industry, cycles, earnings reports, valuations, and technicals.

Especially that Fair Value thing—just take a look, don’t treat it like gospel. I think it’s most suitable for three types of people:
First, newbies just starting to research US stocks.
Second, those who want to quickly scan a company’s fundamentals.
Third, anyone wanting to do a preliminary stock screening without getting discouraged by earnings reports right off the bat.

Simply Wall St is a map, not a steering wheel.
It can help newbies avoid some detours, but it can't drive for them.

The only complaint I have is that this site offers most languages but curiously lacks Chinese. It’s a bit like Figma; designers get it. They’ve done well with globalization, but Chinese users aren’t yet in the loop. But that's not a big deal.

With browser translation and AI-assisted interpretation, it’s already enough for regular investors to use for getting started with US stocks. For newbies, its biggest value isn’t telling you what to buy, but helping us finally understand: what makes a company expensive, strong, or what risks are lurking around.
