DUSK Network: The Blockchain Designed for Institutional-Level Privacy
DUSK Network aims to establish itself at the convergence of regulated finance, tangible assets, and privacy-focused blockchain systems. Inaugurated in 2019, DUSK aimed to tackle an issue many blockchains evade: facilitating private transactions while staying fully compliant with financial laws.
In contrast to conventional privacy chains, DUSK focuses on institutions, exchanges, and asset issuers. Its modular structure integrates a secure settlement layer (DuskDS), an EVM-compatible execution layer (DuskEVM), and a native privacy environment (DuskVM) driven by zero-knowledge proofs. This enables assets such as tokenized stocks and bonds to be launched and exchanged on-chain while safeguarding sensitive information.
DUSK’s zero-knowledge framework guarantees transaction confidentiality while permitting selective sharing with regulators—crucial for practical implementation. The network has proven its traction by collaborating with regulated entities like the Dutch exchange NPEX, releasing hundreds of millions in on-chain assets.
To promote growth, DUSK introduced a 15 million DUSK development fund, indicating a sustained dedication to ecosystem enhancement. As organizations transition to blockchain-based settlement and tokenization, DUSK emerges as a specifically designed solution for compliant, privacy-focused finance.
