A $700 million AWACS aircraft parked at Saudi Arabia’s Prince Sultan Air Base, 1,500 km away from Iran, was precisely targeted by a $5,000 Iranian Shahed drone, destroying the radar section in the middle of the American plane.

The AWACS aircraft had a radar range of 400 km and could fly up to 7,000 km without refueling, meaning during war it could provide real-time data on U.S. aircraft and other military assets within a 7,400 km range.
