While $ETH still dominates in total value locked with nearly $41B versus $SOL $4.8B, daily activity paints a different picture.
Solana processed over 2x the DEX volume, generated 3x more app revenue, and recorded roughly 4x more active addresses. Relative to TVL, its capital is moving far more efficiently, with turnover close to 18x higher than Ethereum in this snapshot.
Much of that comes from memecoins and speculative trading, so higher velocity doesn’t necessarily mean stickier liquidity. But if Solana continues attracting more capital while maintaining this level of activity, the gap between the two ecosystems could narrow significantly.

$ETH Institutional has successfully closed its first funding round, securing backing from more than 100 ecosystem leaders.
The nonprofit, focused on accelerating institutional adoption of Ethereum, received support from BitMine, SharpLink, Ethereum co-founders Joseph Lubin and Mihai Alisie, along with over 100 other ecosystem participants.
The funding will support its mission of helping bring more institutions onchain and expanding Ethereum’s role in institutional finance.

Apple is facing a lawsuit over claims it left a fake $BTC wallet app on the App Store even after an $875,000 theft had already been reported.

@VerusCoin Ethereum Bridge has been exploited again, with losses estimated at $7.53M.
According to Blockaid, the attacker abused the bridge’s import mechanism to trigger unbacked payouts, allowing them to drain assets from the bridge’s reserves.
The stolen assets include ETH, tBTC, USDC, USDT, EURC, MKR, and scrvUSD.
Notably, the attack reportedly used the same vulnerability that was exploited in the May incident, raising fresh concerns about the bridge’s security.

According to SlowMist, the stolen funds remain in the attacker’s wallet, which has been flagged with the Crypto Defense Alliance (CDA), a network of exchanges and ecosystem partners actively monitoring suspicious addresses.
Zellic, the firm that audited the bridge, has also joined the investigation to help determine what happened.
The team says it will continue sharing updates as more verified information becomes available. $ARB
