The Commodity Futures Trading Regulatory Agency (Bappebti) has finally spoken out regarding alleged maladministration in the licensing process for crypto asset futures exchanges. The Acting Head of CoFTRA, Didid Noordiatmoko confirmed that the Indonesian Ombudsman is currently examining this matter based on a complaint from a prospective crypto exchange company who complained about the lengthy licensing process.
However, Didid emphasized that CoFTRA's focus remains on protecting the community , and not just pursuing a service level agreement target. CoFTRA is committed to continuing to manage and supervise crypto assets by revising CoFTRA Regulation Number 8 of 2021 concerning Guidelines for Organizing Crypto Asset Physical Market Trading on Futures Exchanges.
