On September 28, developers discussed the progress of Dencun upgrade testing, early audit results of EIP-4788 and the beacon block root in EVM, Holesky testnet launch, EIP-7503, initial feedback on zero-knowledge wormholes, and changing EIP-6780 and SELFDESTRUCT specifications only in the same transaction. Regarding Dencun testing, the release of Devnet-9 has been postponed again, and developers plan to launch Devnet-9 at the end of September or this week. The developer also stated that after the launch of Devnet-9, the 10th Devnet needs to be launched for the Dencun upgrade, and the life cycle of Devnet-10 will be relatively short. The developer will also test the workflow of the validator to obtain MEV using the MEV-Boost software on Devnet-9 and 10. Regarding EIP-4788, the developer stated that three audits conducted by Chainsecurity, Trail of Bits, and Dedaub have been completed. One of the most important findings from the audit was that users can query smart contract addresses using zero timestamps, even if no value has been set for zero timestamps. The Holosky testnet was launched before this meeting. Developers also discussed EIP-7503, which proposes a new privacy solution for Ethereum based on zero-knowledge cryptography technology, which will provide stronger privacy guarantees for users' transactions compared to cryptocurrency mixers such as Tornado Cash. It will also provide users with a way to prove that the funds in their accounts have not been mixed by the privacy protocols supported by EIP-7503, effectively allowing users to submit "proof-of-innocence" for their accounts for regulatory and compliance purposes. Guillaume Ballet from the Geth client team raised a small issue in the EIP-6780 specification. Ballet pointed out that the EIP specifies the behavior of SELFDESTRUCT in a post-Verkle environment.
