A local Omani company, Exahertz International (a subsidiary of Afaaq for Advanced Technologies), has launched a new data hosting and cryptocurrency mining center valued at OMR 135 million (approximately $370 million). This center represents the country's second-largest venture into the crypto mining sector, with the first being Al-Madina Al-Khadraa, valued at around OMR 150 million. The new data center is considered a milestone in Oman's digital transformation journey.

A mysterious GMX trader managed to profit nearly $1,000,000 after shorting Ethereum at a high price a month ago, just before the mid-August crypto market crash. The trader opened the short position on July 14, when ETH was valued at around $2,000, and closed it on August 17, when the cryptocurrency dipped to nearly $1,700. After waiting a short while, the trader opened another position, this time betting that Ethereum's valuation would increase. The entry price was $1,624, and ETH currently trades at over $1,660. Lookonchain revealed that the trader has been highly successful, with eight out of their ten trades being profitable. However, not all crypto participants experienced the same success, as some registered significant losses due to the recent market correction.
Ethereum's price has experienced a significant drop after weeks of consolidation below a major resistance level. The price has fallen sharply below the $1,750 level and the crucial 200-day moving average, which is situated around the $1,800 mark. This moving average is a vital trend indicator, and the market is considered bearish when the price trades below it. Currently, the short-term $1,650 support level is holding the price, but the market structure has turned bearish with the recent decline, and a retest of the $1,400 level appears likely in the coming weeks.
