Have you noticed that new songs are growing rapidly on streaming platforms these days? Deezer just released a shocking report that reveals the reality of the music industry.

Key Takeaways from the Report:

Uploads: 44% of new songs uploaded to Deezer daily are entirely AI-generated!

Tadad: This equates to approximately 75,000 AI tracks daily, or over 2 million new synthetic songs a month.

Where are the real listeners? Despite this huge influx, total consumption of AI music is only between 1% and 3%.

Why this gap?

Deezer has found that a significant portion (up to 85%) of AI-generated music is being used for "fraudulent" activity. Fraudsters stream these songs through artificial bots solely to generate royalties. Therefore, the platform has "demonetized" these streams (withholding paybacks) and stopped promoting them in its algorithms.

Message to Investors and Artists:

AI music is great as a creative tool, but when used for "streaming farms" and fraud, it harms the royalty pool of real artists. Streaming services are now taking strict action to address this problem.
