A scent, a color, a sudden tone,
And the past finds its way back home.
Not sadness, no… just a glow,
A sweet old scar the heart still knows.

We move ahead, though not the same,
The soul still tied to childhood’s flame.
To moments made of wind and gold,
To everything we lost… as we grew old.
