Nhìn cái hình Binance cảnh báo “Avoiding Public WiFi” mà mình thấy… quá đúng với thực tế ở Việt Nam lúc này.
Đi cà phê, vào co-working, ngồi sân bay, thậm chí quán ăn vỉa hè cũng có WiFi free. Và gần như 8/10 anh em trader mình gặp, mở laptop ra là auto connect. Không cần nghĩ. Thấy mạng mạnh là vào.
Nghe thì tiện. Nhưng thật sự thì cực kỳ rủi ro.
Public WiFi bản chất là mạng mở. Ai trong cùng mạng cũng có thể “nghe lén” lưu lượng của bạn. Trong hình có nhắc tới kiểu tấn công gọi là man-in-the-middle. Hiểu đơn giản là có thằng đứng giữa bạn và internet, nó nhìn thấy hết bạn gửi gì đi, nhận gì về.
- Login sàn
- Nhập mật khẩu
- OTP
- API key
Tất cả đều có thể bị theo dõi nếu bạn chủ quan.
Mình từng biết vài case rồi. Không phải nghe kể lại đâu, người quen trong nhóm trade. Ngồi quán cafe, login Binance, ví Metamask, tối về bay sạch tiền. Check lại thì IP lạ đăng nhập. Không hiểu chuyện gì xảy ra. Sau mới ngộ ra là WiFi công cộng.
Còn một chiêu nữa nguy hiểm hơn là WiFi giả mạo.
Ví dụ quán tên “Highlands Coffee”, nó sẽ tạo mạng “Highlands_Free”, “Highlands Coffee VIP”, nhìn rất legit. Bạn connect nhầm là coi như đưa dữ liệu cho nó luôn. Kiểu này gọi là WiFi eavesdropping, bẫy cực kỳ phổ biến.
Anh em trade crypto thì càng nhạy cảm.
Mình nói thật, trader bây giờ không chỉ giữ tiền trong bank. Chúng ta giữ tiền trong:
- Sàn CEX
- Ví nóng
- Ví lạnh
- DeFi
- API bot
Chỉ cần lộ 1 thông tin nhỏ thôi là đủ toang. Không giống mất Facebook còn lấy lại được. Crypto mất là mất, không ai hoàn tiền cho bạn đâu.
Cá nhân mình từ lâu đã có rule rất cứng:
- Tuyệt đối không login sàn khi dùng WiFi public
- Nếu bắt buộc thì dùng 4G/5G cá nhân
- Hoặc VPN riêng
- Tắt auto connect WiFi
- Không bao giờ nhập seed phrase ở nơi công cộng
Nghe hơi paranoid. Nhưng trade lâu rồi mới hiểu, sống sót quan trọng hơn kiếm thêm vài % lợi nhuận.
Thị trường đã khó rồi, đừng để mấy lỗi cơ bản kiểu này giết tài khoản một cách lãng xẹt. Nhiều anh em phân tích chart thì rất giỏi, nói cấu trúc market, liquidity, orderflow nghe mượt lắm. Nhưng bảo mật cá nhân thì lại cực kỳ chủ quan, hơi ngược đời.
Crypto là tự do tài chính, đúng. Nhưng cũng là tự chịu trách nhiệm 100%. Không ai bảo vệ tiền của bạn ngoài chính bạn cả.
Mình nói thẳng, thời điểm này ở Việt Nam, số người dùng WiFi công cộng mỗi ngày quá nhiều. Trader, holder, airdrop farmer, đủ cả. Nếu thói quen này không thay đổi thì sớm muộn gì cũng có người “đóng học phí” thôi. Và cái học phí đó thường không rẻ đâu.

1. THE ABSOLUTE BASICS: 2FA IS NON-NEGOTIABLE
If you still use SMS for Two-Factor Authentication (2FA), you are asking for trouble. SIM-swapping is the easiest trick in the book. A hacker calls your phone provider, pretends to be you, and boom—they get your texts.
What to do instead:
Google Authenticator / Binance Authenticator: This is the minimum standard. The code lives on your device, not on the network.Passkeys (The 2026 Standard): Use your face (FaceID) or fingerprint. It’s unphishable. If you haven’t set this up in your Binance Security settings yet, do it NOW.
Pro Tip: Write down your backup keys on paper and hide it. If you lose your phone, that piece of paper is the only thing standing between you and a locked account.
2. THE SILENT GUARDIAN: ANTI-PHISHING CODE
This is the most underrated feature on Binance. Remember “Dave”? If he had this, he would still have his money.
How it works:
You set a secret word (e.g., "AltcoinOptimist2026"). Now, every single legitimate email from Binance will display this code in the top corner.
Email arrives: "URGENT: Verify your wallet!"You check: Is my code "AltcoinOptimist2026" there?No code? It’s a scam. Delete. Block.
It takes 30 seconds to set up. Go to Profile -> Security -> Anti-Phishing Code.
3. THE ULTIMATE SHIELD: WITHDRAWAL WHITELIST
This is the "Secret Sauce" of security. Even if a hacker steals your password, steals your phone, and bypasses your 2FA... they still can't steal your money.
Why?
Because the Withdrawal Whitelist only allows funds to be sent to addresses YOU approved 24 hours ago.
Scenario: Hacker tries to send your $ETH to his wallet.Result: Binance says "Nope. This address isn't on the list."The Kicker: To add a new address, there is a waiting period. You will get a notification, see the attempt, and lock your account before he gets a single cent.
4. THE "SECRET SAUCE" 🤫
Most people stop at 2FA. But here is what the pros do in 2026: Separate Your Digital Identity.
Don't use your personal email (the one you use for Facebook, gym memberships, and newsletters) for your Binance account.
Create a dedicated email just for crypto (e.g., protonmail is great for this).Never share this email address publicly.If nobody knows your email login, they can't even start to hack you.
ACTION PLAN: LOCK IT DOWN TODAY
Don't just read this. Do it. Here is your weekend homework:
 Switch 2FA from SMS to Authenticator App or Passkeys. Set up an Anti-Phishing Code (Make it something funny so you remember it). Turn on Withdrawal Whitelist and add your own cold wallet or secondary exchange address. Check Active Devices in settings and log out of anything you don’t recognize.
CONCLUSION
