The native token of the Aave protocol has posted a strong short-term rally, gaining 12% within 24 hours amid renewed capital inflows across the decentralized finance (DeFi) sector. The move comes as investor interest returns to lending protocols, supported by governance upgrades and a sharp increase in total value locked (TVL).
At the time of writing, AAVE has outperformed much of the broader altcoin market. However, while sentiment appears constructive in the near term, emerging technical divergences suggest traders may want to monitor sustainability risks.
“Aave Will Win” Framework Strengthens DAO Alignment
The recent upside momentum follows the announcement of the “Aave Will Win Framework,” a governance proposal aimed at reinforcing long-term value accrual and improving alignment between ecosystem contributors and the DAO.
Under the proposal, 100% of revenue generated from Aave-branded products—including its mobile application, Aave Card, and the upcoming V4 protocol upgrade—would be directed to the Aave DAO treasury. Estimates place Aave’s annualized revenue between $118 million and $426 million, highlighting the protocol’s substantial monetization capacity within DeFi.
Stani Kulechov, founder and CEO of Aave, described the framework as a structural evolution designed to formalize the economic alignment between Aave Labs and token holders. Community governance discussions indicate broad support, reinforcing confidence in the protocol’s strategic direction.
On-Chain Indicators Reflect Strong Capital Inflows
Investor behavior has mirrored the improving narrative. Accumulation patterns have strengthened, supported by key technical indicators.
The Accumulation/Distribution (A/D) metric has returned to positive territory, suggesting sustained buying pressure. Meanwhile, the Money Flow Index (MFI) has risen to 83 — a level typically associated with significant liquidity inflows and elevated demand conditions.
