Latest survey released by crypto exchange Bitget revealed that a significant number of female investors in South Korea and Japan use crypto to enhance their finances. Female participation in crypto trading has turned out to great in many countries which is an encouraging news.
Interestingly, many of them are using it for ‘personal finance’ reasons, to be precise, 49% and 41% of females in South Korea and Japan respectively. Conversely, Bitget observed a 45% and 30% drop in male for South Korea and Japan. In both countries most women hope that crypto trading will lead to a better lifestyle.
About 17% of male population in South Korea were trading cryptocurrencies to improve family finances. On the other hand, despite a concrete stance against crypto, the report observed that almost all Chinese citizens hold some amount of crypto.
Asia’s crypto dynamics
About 19% of all investors in China have invested at least $100,000 in crypto and 18% have invested minimum lum sum of $50,000. While the Malaysians and Taiwanese hold cryptocurrencies as an important asset that serves as a financial support for their family.
Female crypto traders are taking over
A January 2023 report released by eToro called the “Retail Investor Beat” revealed that women’s ownership rose from 29% in the third quarter of 2022 to 34% in the final quarter. On the other hand male ownership only rose by 1% during the same period

Another September 2022 survey conducted by crypto exchange Swyftx found that out if 4.2 million Australians who own crypto (approximately 1.63% of the population) female owners have been more profitable than male owners.
