The U.S. SEC has filed charges against Prager Metis CPAs which is a global accounting firm for a multitude of alleged auditor independence violations and reportedly contributing to its clients’ breaches of federal securities laws.
Prager Metis filled in as the examiner for the now-bankrupt cryptographic money trade FTX Gathering 2021, and current FTX President John Beam III has recently communicated huge misgivings about the legitimacy of data in the reviews led by the firm.
Nonetheless, the violations referenced in the filings reportedly crossed from December 2017 to October 2020, and the SEC has not straightforwardly referenced FTX in the documenting.
