President Trump says preemptive pardons for his officials are on the table, citing concerns Democrats would prosecute them if they regain power.
"Based on Biden, I can do WHATEVER I want, because he certainly pardoned a lot of people. He pardoned EVERYBODY of note," Trump stated.
Trump pointed to Biden's pardons, including his son Hunter and controversial figures like Anthony Fauci, as precedent. He argued his officials shouldn't face legal jeopardy for executing his administration's agenda.
