We are excited to announce that Celer has successfully integrated generic message passing (Celer IM) with Arbitrum Nova! We are happy to be able to support them as they grow their ecosystem. With this integration we are able to enable interoperability between Arbitrum Nova and other ecosystems, as well as provide developers and users access to fast, secure, and easy cross-chain user experiences on Arbitrum Nova using Celer IM.
Arbitrum Nova is a recently launched Ethereum Layer-2 scaling solution developed by Offchain Labs. It is an entirely new chain built on Arbitrum's AnyTrust technology, which is optimized for ultra-low-cost transactions with strong security guarantees. Arbitrum Nova uses a novel technical approach with the use of a data availability committee. Instead of posting all of the data to Ethereum, the data availability committee certifies and validates batches of transactions then only posts the certifications to Ethereum. This results in significantly lower costs and higher security for users. Since it was designed for high transaction volumes, Arbitrum Nova easily supports gaming and social applications, alongside general blockchain use cases.
With Celer’s Inter-chain Messaging Framework, a generic message passing protocol, integrated with Arbitrum Nova, it allows developers to build dApps with cross-chain application logics. This will enable dApps to not only create smooth cross-chain UXs between Arbitrum Nova and various external blockchains, but lays down the foundation to support NFT bridges, the ability to purchase and bid on NFTs across different chains, and cross-chain reward claiming. All of these and more are not only possible to accomplish with Celer IM, but can be offered to users as a one-click, one-transaction UX.
