C’est Bon, created in 2018 by self-taught designer, Mamadou Bah, is a contemporary fashion brand that blends modern culture, heavily influenced by Sports and Contemporary Art, to achieve and emulates "modern optimism."

On C'est Bon's site, it describes various inspirations and interest in fashion stemming from Bah's navigation of the internet, music, and fashion blogs as a youth, with Bah stating "everything I learned as an only child came from curiosity - I would soon learn that my curiosity to learn more not only kept me around the right people but it allowed me to grow and adapt with new upcoming challenges I faced in life."

Since its launch, in 2018, C'est Bon has grown rapidly in popularity, and has landed various high profile collaborations like its capsule with Sean Weatherspoon's Round Two. The brand is now stepping into the world of Web3 and is slatted to release two digital wearables for The Closet.

First announced in late February, The Closet by Degen Toonz is a on-chain product that allows holders of the Toonz NFTs to fully customize their characters with various digital wearables -- including items like clothing, accessories, sneakers, and more, all of which reflect in the metadata of the characters NFT.

"The adoption of fashion into Web3 culture and specifically around gaming is inventible, and already happening at scale through partnerships like Gucci x Yuga , VANS x Roblox, DressX x Warner Music and many many more," shared Degen Toonz Head of Business Development Joel Contartese, adding "we believe this trend of brands entering Web3 in a collaborative manner via digital wearables will continue to grow, which is why we decided to position The Closet as an entry point for branded wearables."

With digital fashion projected to grow from a $340 million USD market cap to a $1.9 billion USD industry by 2028, Contartese shared that "we not only want to participate, but lead this adoption."

He went on to express that Degen Toonz aims to be positioned in a way that allows it to address personalization, self expression, metaverse identity, sustainability, organic marketing, and more. For the brand, all of these efforts start with The Closet, which is slated to go live later this year.
