Samsung Wallet launched stablecoin accounts on Thursday, allowing eligible U.S. Galaxy users to buy, hold, send and receive Circle's USDC on Solana. The announcement puts the feature's reach at about 82 million compatible devices in the U.S. Samsung charges no transfer fee for USDC sent to U.S. Samsung Wallet users or compatible external crypto wallets, although other providers may charge fees. Credit card top-ups cost 4%, and eligibility excludes New York residents. Samsung said it expects to explore stablecoin payments online and in stores, alongside expansion into additional markets subject to local regulation.
