🔥 The Two Most Profitable Traders on a Major Onchain Exchange Are Short $1 Billion Into the Midterms History says $BTC next low could come 13 to 71 days after the vote. The two accounts topping Hyperliquid’s monthly profit leaderboard hold about $1.06 billion in shorts, on-chain data showed Monday. The larger one is short $617.5 million across 22 markets at roughly 4.7x leverage, including 2,320 $BTC ($182 million) from an entry near $76,366 and $224.5 million in ETH. The second holds $439.4 million, led by 1,818 BTC. The shift is recent. Glassnode noted on October 26 that large Hyperliquid traders as a group turned net short Bitcoin for the first time since March, after buying the bottom. Bitcoin then ended October down more than 7%, its worst October since 2014, and trades near $78,000. A book short 22 markets, gold and silver included, can be a hedge as easily as a directional bet, and the wallets do not say which. Both are also losing on HYPE shorts, about $19 million combined, and the top account is roughly $5 million underwater on Bitcoin. History is on their side so far. $BTC cycle lows came 71, 39 and 13 days after the 2014, 2018 and 2022 midterm votes, though each year had its own crisis and the sample is three. This time the backdrop includes the $6.3 billion Binance hack, a Fed priced near 80% for a December hike, and Friday’s jobs report. The risk for the shorts is the opposite one. If Tuesday’s result clears the uncertainty, covering $1.06 billion means buying, with $79,100 the level to reclaim and $77,000 the support to hold. Both wallets are public, so the market will see in real time whether they press or cover. #BTC Price Analysis# #CMC Quest: Earn Rewards# #Macro Insights#
