Gate.io confirmed that it has frozen two accounts linked to the massive $6.3 billion Binance security breach after blockchain analytics firm Lookonchain flagged $250,000 in deposits sent to the exchange within a 12-hour window. $BNB $1000CAT $SOPH

The exchange quickly responded to the alert, stating that the flagged accounts have been locked and that relevant data has been moved into its internal due diligence process.

Gate.io also noted that it is fully cooperating with law enforcement and ongoing investigations to contain the stolen funds.

This rapid intervention highlights a coordinated ecosystem-wide effort to bottleneck the attacker's liquidation options following the October 30 exploit. This latest freeze builds on massive, proactive steps taken across the industry, which have already restricted billions of dollars in stolen assets.
