A study by the American Society of Plastic Surgeons tracked identical twins over 13 years to measure Botox's long-term effects.

One twin began preventative Botox treatments in her mid-20s and maintained them consistently. The other received little to no treatment during the same period.

By age 38, the twin using Botox showed fewer static lines, smoother skin, and a more refreshed appearance—despite sharing identical DNA and similar lifestyles with her sister.

The study is cited as strong evidence that consistent neuromodulator use can prevent deeper wrinkles and preserve a more youthful look over time.
