33 companies now opposing OKXICE's tokenized stock platform — more than half the original 62 targets.

New objectors include JPMorgan, AMD, Coca-Cola, Adobe, Dell, Applied Materials, and SanDisk.

OKXICE (OKX + Intercontinental Exchange) pitched 24/7 trading of tokenized stocks with faster settlement and broader access. Sounds good on paper, but issuers weren't consulted upfront — and they're not happy.

Under SEC's Innovation Exemption, companies can block their securities from specific platforms. This isn't a blanket rejection of tokenization. JPMorgan, for example, runs Onyx and tokenized deposits — they're not anti-blockchain. They just don't want this setup.

Same logic applies to others. It's about control: how shares are represented, who custodies them, and which venue gets to trade them.

OKX and ICE have the firepower to pivot, but half your target list saying no is a rough start. Tokenized equities aren't dead — this execution just missed the mark.
