Multisig wallets are supposed to be Fort Knox. 2-of-7 setup means 2 signatures needed out of 7 possible signers before funds move. Should be bulletproof.

But here's the flaw most degens miss:

Multisig protects against ONE compromised key. It does NOT protect against dumb approvals.

Oct 26, 2026: $7.4M drained from a 2-of-7 Safe multisig on Avalanche.

The killer mistake? The wallet gave UNLIMITED spending permissions to an address where ANYONE could deploy code.

Think of it like this: You hire a security guard. You give him the keys to release goods anytime. Then you realize the guard's badge can be cloned by literally anyone on the street.

Game over.

The signers approved something they didn't fully understand. That unlimited approval became a backdoor.

Lesson: Multisig is only as strong as the WEAKEST approval.

Revoke unlimited approvals. Audit what your signers are signing. One careless tx and your treasury is gone.

Stay SAFU.
