An early participant in the Ethereum network has executed another notable transaction, moving a portion of their massive cryptocurrency stash to realize massive multi-million dollar returns.

According to on-chain data monitored by blockchain analytics platform Lookonchain and highlighted by BlockBeats On-chain Detection, the investor deposited 1,000 ETH into the cryptocurrency exchange Kraken on October 24. At current market prices, where Ethereum has been trading around the 2,380 USD mark, the liquidated digital assets are valued at approximately 2.38 million USD.

The wallet address in question belongs to a true crypto pioneer, an original initial coin offering participant from 2014. During the early crowdsale period, the whale purchased a total of 100,000 ETH at a baseline cost of just 0.31 USD per token, amounting to an initial financial commitment of roughly 31,000 USD.

For the 1,000 ETH component involved in this specific sale, the investor's original cost basis was a mere 310 USD. By locking in profits at the current market value, this single transaction has yielded an estimated profit of 2,379,840 USD. This represents a staggering return on investment of roughly 7,677 times the initial capital deployed for this fraction of their portfolio.

Blockchain tracking metrics reveal that this move follows a patient, long-term profit-taking pattern rather than panic selling. The investor has been gradually distributing their assets over the course of nearly a decade. Despite the recent 1,000 ETH liquidation, the whale still sits on a significant portion of their multi-million dollar digital fortune, keeping market participants closely tracking the address for any further capital movements
