Why did it take decades to invent $BTC?

The tech existed. Hash functions, digital signatures, P2P networks—all there by the 90s.

What was missing? The right combination at the right time.

Cypherpunks tried: DigiCash, b-money, bit gold. All failed. Centralized points, no consensus model, or just bad timing.

Satoshi cracked it in 2008—not by inventing new tech, but by combining existing pieces: proof-of-work for consensus, UTXO model, difficulty adjustment, and pseudonymous incentives.

The 2008 financial crisis gave it narrative fuel. Trust in banks was dead. $BTC launched into a perfect storm.

Sometimes innovation isn't about inventing—it's about timing and execution.
