If presented with that scenario, some of you might have advised David to simply pray for Goliath instead of making a major issue out of the giant mocking his God. You probably would have encouraged him to avoid creating a public scene, urging him to just offer his forgiveness and head back home peacefully. Ultimately, however, the true focus of this message is not actually about David and Goliath.
