⚡ ZCASH JUST PUT A DATE ON THE CALENDAR — BUT NOVEMBER 5 COULD BE ABOUT MUCH MORE THAN AN UPGRADE.

While most of the crypto market is watching daily price candles, something bigger is developing behind $ZEC

Zcash developers have agreed on block 3,543,405 for the NU7 mainnet upgrade, expected around November 5, 2026. The final deployment details still need to be integrated into node software, but the roadmap is becoming much clearer.

And NU7 brings a major change:

⚡ 75-second blocks → 25-second blocks

That means Zcash could potentially deliver confirmations around 3X faster. A three-confirmation wait that currently takes nearly four minutes could fall to roughly 75 seconds.

But speed isn't the only story.

NU7 also introduces changes to how transaction fees are handled and retires Zcash's old Sprout privacy system. The upgrade has already been running on testnet since early October, making the November mainnet activation the next major milestone.
