Whenever a workflow is triggered on Ditto, a decentralized network of operators steps in to manage the process. Each individual step must be carefully simulated and attested, with execution only taking place once more than two thirds of these operators reach a consensus. This system provides an economic assurance rather than a traditional contractual one. Because the operators are required to stake their assets through EigenLayer and Symbiotic, they put their own funds on the line, ensuring that any poor execution results in an actual financial loss.

While this setup successfully guarantees the execution side of the operation, handling the specific obligations between the involved parties is an entirely separate matter. Slashing serves as the financial consequence when a task goes wrong, but an equally reliable system is needed to manage compensation when a task goes right.

At PROM, we are actively building this essential second half of the equation. We are developing a structure where payments are distributed based solely on the actual outcomes produced by a workflow, completely bypassing the need for predetermined schedules or traditional invoices. Ultimately, the penalties handle the errors, and our solution ensures the proper payment for successful work.
