Another big mistake we make in this market is that we do not take our profits. We set an imaginary target in our minds, and even when we see our tokens in green, we miss the chance to lock in our profits.
Especially when we invest in altcoins, we often think, "I will only exit when my money triples or multiplies by five." We keep waiting for that moment, but it often never comes.
Instead, the token doubles in price and then drops back down. Our greed—insisting on waiting for a 5x return—ends up ruining us.
The right strategy is that when your token is pumping, you should watch it closely and first try to take out your initial investment. If the token has doubled, there is no reason not to take some profit.
The market structure has changed a lot now, and you have to make your own plans. If you sit around with just a fake number in your head and no real strategy, the market will pump and then dump, and we will just be left staring at numbers on a screen!
